PMC is wonderful! My non-speaking autistic daughter has been going there for Speech, Occupational and Physical therapy for months and she has grown so much. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, understanding and knowledgeable. My daughter loves it here and so do I! Highly recommended

When going in the for assessment, I was immediately struck by how the therapist, Candace, included my non-speaking son. She asked him questions directly and gave him time to respond. She respected his space and boundaries, making sure he felt comfortable and safe, and she assumed competence at all times. Although these are things that should be standard with all doctors, specialists and therapists, it is shockingly hard to find. I was so impressed with the interactions and look forwarding to working with them.

This place is very commercial! They keep charging the fee without proper reason. If there is a cancellation on the day of our appointment for the baby health reasons they do not consider the health and they charge fee but when there is a change from their end they make us consider that. Once we had an appointment for our son with 1 of the therapists and after we reached the center they said that the therapist had an emergency and so she is leaving and they are rescheduling us, we understand the situation and kindly took the next appointment and when the same happened with me I called them multiple times but they did not answer and than I left a voice mail. Now they come back and say that the cancellation has to be atleast 4 hours prior and without me making the 35$ fee they will not let me schedule more appointments for my son. How can a person anticipate about getting sick ?? And once they charged me for No reason. And after multiple follow ups they cleared the charge and they say that they waived it as a courtesy which is not fair at all!

My daughter has been going to PMC of Frederick for a long time now. I’ve had impeccable experiences with the OT and SPEECH therapists however. I gave 3 stars because of the front staff. It seems as I was reading other reviews a lot of families have had tons of issues with the front staff and honestly it’s true. I had Becki tell my mother today that she had missed my daughter’s appointment on Tuesday when the office was closed! My mom mistakenly thought her therapy was on Thursday and not Tuesday but sure enough Becki did not inform my mom that their office was closed that day but good thing for screen shots of the text message I received late Monday night. Once she told my mom my daughter did not have an appointment and that she missed her appointment on Tuesday she then proceeded to say that we owe a missed appointment fee. I then called PMC and spoke with Becki herself and she told me “I didn’t have your child’s chart pulled up to be able to see that we texted you” but then knew what day my daughter was suppose to come? Strange. THEN her excuse about the missed appt fee was because she did not look into my daughters chart. At this point I was frustrated. Just like any other parent would be. I had to keep repeating myself and asking Becki why would she make my mom feel as if she missed the appt on Tuesday when the OFFICE WAS CLOSED. SO WE CHARGE A MISSED APPT FEE EVEN WHEN THE OFFICE IS CLOSED AND PMC CANNOT SEE MY CHILD. Make it make sense? She mentioned that she is not responsible for how she made my mom feel cause my mom was upset cause Becki had her believing she missed my daughters appointment on Tuesday when actually the office was closed due to the snow storm. So since I kept repeating myself to try to get her to understand my frustration Becki kept saying you can talk to my boss Jessica Taylor Becki said I don’t care you can speak to her... So I did her one even better. I messaged the Vice president of the company and the only reason I did that was because instead of Becki actually owning up to a mistake she had made she then hung up on me and I tried to call back numerous times and NO ONE ANSWERED. The lack of respect the front staff has is completely unprofessional and it ruins this office for sure. I love my daughters therapist Candice she is amazing and she’s super helpful with my mom. Becki needs some coaching on how to handle upset customers and or just never work at the front desk and maybe participate in something that does not involve clients what so ever.. If I hung up on a customer at my job I’d be fired on the spot. It makes me sick how much money we all as parents put into getting the correct therapy needs for our children and we can’t even express our feelings and or have respectful front end staff treating us like we are human beings.

I feel compelled to share our experience with Pediatric Movement Center, which has been frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the needs of our autistic son. Initially, we sought help from this company, hoping they would provide the support and guidance our Autistic son needs. However, we have faced numerous scheduling errors, which have caused significant disruptions to our routine. Most concerning was an incident where a front desk staff member I believe her name is Ashley, confirmed that they would waive late fees that we were never even informed we would incur. This conversation took place in person, and I appreciated the acknowledgment of the mistake. However, just two weeks later, when I came in for a visit they followed up about the waived fees, the same staff member outright denied ever having that conversation with me. She even claimed not to remember speaking to me at all, which was incredibly disheartening. I asked if there were any camera records of our interaction, and she stated that there were none, leaving us without any way to verify what had been promised. Moreover, we have been charged $100 for unauthorized or forewarned no show and late fees on occasions when our son was not even scheduled for an appointment. It seems that the focus of this company is more on collecting fees rather than providing consistent, quality care. In over two years, the only progress our son has made in speech and occupational therapy has been through other programs, and we have not seen the same level of dedication or documentation of progress from PMC. The lack of consistency in care and communication has been disheartening. It feels as though the needs of our child are secondary to financial gain. We have reached out to management to address these issues, but it seems that our concerns don’t matter. We gave notice of no return and are reporting these practices to ensure that other families are aware of the potential challenges they may face. I hope that PMC can reflect on their practices and prioritize the needs of the children they serve.
