KidStrong Fairfield | Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, CT
About this class
Like all other KidStrong locations, this center focuses on building kids' confidence through structured 45-minute classes that mix physical challenges with character development - think obstacle courses combined with public speaking practice and friendly competition. The format is pretty consistent with clear segments like affirmations, skill-building, and competitions, so it's structured enough that shy kids feel secure but active enough that high-energy ones stay engaged. The coaches really emphasize the "I am strong, I am brave, I can do this" mentality, which honestly has carried over into how my child approaches challenges at home too. It's one of those programs where you can actually see your kiddo gaining confidence week by week, especially during those moments when parenting feels like you're just hoping something sticks.
Parents rave about how their little ones strut around the house, proudly showcasing new moves they learned in class. It's heartwarming to see such confidence bloom after just a few sessions!

I am so happy with kid strong Fairfield. The coaches are very friendly and encouraging, and very energetic. I love how they also include activities that help the kids learn. I also love the way my son Max's confidence gets better every time and the way he feels while in the class even after. I highly recommend kid strong for kids. My son absolutely loves to come to his classes. I also really appreciate the flexibility when scheduling classes.

I love the combination of socialization and etiquette that they intertwine into the physical and obstacle-based program. I also love how the kids do something for a few weeks to track their progress and improve on specific movements or tasks, and then they accomplish it and move on to a new phase of programming. I also love the recognition the kids get with their level-up and rank-up acknowledgements and shirts. Our boys love coming and thrive here!

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Kids Strong in Fairfield, CT, thanks to a free trial for my children, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, instantly putting my kids at ease. The program is designed to challenge children in a fun and engaging way, focusing on key areas like movement, hand-eye coordination, and balance. I was impressed by how the instructors seamlessly incorporated these skills into various activities, making it feel less like a workout and more like playtime. My kids were actively moving, climbing, and participating in games that not only strengthened their bodies but also encouraged them to push their limits. One standout element was the emphasis on motivation and teamwork. The instructors were incredibly supportive, cheering on the kids and fostering a positive environment where everyone felt encouraged to do their best. It was heartwarming to see my children thrive and take pride in their accomplishments, big or small. Another great aspect was the incorporation of clean-up duties at the end of the session. It taught my kids the importance of responsibility and teamwork in a fun way, reinforcing that cleaning up can be part of the adventure rather than a chore. Socialization was also a big part of the experience. My children made new friends and learned to work together, sharing ideas and encouraging one another. It was wonderful to see them interact with peers in such a positive setting. Overall, Kids Strong exceeded my expectations. The combination of physical activity, social interaction, and valuable life lessons made the trial a fantastic experience for my children. If you're looking for a place that promotes fitness, teamwork, and fun for your kids, I highly recommend checking out Kids Strong in Fairfield, CT! We can't wait to go back for more!

My son is 9 and this past year of Kid Strong has really made such a difference with his confidence and willingness to participate in physical activities. We had tried it when he was 6 and it wasn't a good fit then because he did not want to follow along at all and it was really loud music and he was too distracted. We restarted again at age 8 and it has been fantastic. We tried different team sports but he's not much of a rule follower and gets distracted easily so those have not worked out. Also tried different Martial Arts but the instructors were too strict and there was too much focus on discipline for his preference. He has ADHD and if he’s not interested or feels like he’s getting pushed then he will just resist. Kid Stong is like bootcamp with super encouraging, enthusiastic coaches. Pros: +a parent has to watch and give support during the class (he loves having focus on him, and quite frankly it increases my sense of presence with him to dedicate that time sitting up close watching him work hard) + supportive and fun coaches that give so much praise and encouragement, even if your kid is struggling or just putting in minimal effort +good variety of physical movement with strategy that is clearly communicated to them and the parents +incorporates social skills such as standing in front of a group and talking/introducing yourself to someone/asking questions/making eye contact +instills motivation to keep leveling and ranking up or get a coach’s award. They celebrate with your child on a podium as the coach gives positive feedback to everyone who claps and you get a photo of your kid same day of the achievement +some competitive teamwork drills also incorporated +management is easy to communicate with and will work with you if you have a special situation Cons: -a little more expensive than other sports programs for the amount of class time/number of classes in a month (1x week) -you buy a T-shirt every time they rank up (about every 10 classes - it’s not required but that is what helps reinforce the achievement) -it's a highly efficiently run class via prompts and videos on a screen so there's no down time for kids or parents to connect and thus doesn't have much of a community feel. -it can get a bit loud between the music and if there are 2 classes going - previously makeups had to be done on the weekends at a special Flex class that was difficult for us (they just started to allow makeups into the regular class times on different weekdays). Overall my son only does 50-80% of what's asked of him because that’s his personality for now. He likes going, and that's a win for us because most activities he wants to stop after a month or 2. As kids get older sports often become very focused on competitive skills and it’s hard to find a good physical activity if your kid is not that competitive or interested in advancing skillset. Kid Strong instills a sense of accomplishment for getting a good workout, putting in effort and improves overall confidence with social skills explicitly developed.
