About this class

Just a hop away from bustling parks and family-friendly cafes, Gymboree on Imperial Hwy. invites parents and kids to explore creativity through art, movement, and music.

Gymboree is one of those places that actually knows what they're doing with the little ones - they've got real curriculum backing up their play time, so it's not just expensive babysitting. Your kiddo will get to crawl around on different textures, slide down mini slides, and do all that sensory stuff that makes their brains happy, while you get to chat with other parents who also haven't showered in three days. The teachers are pretty hands-on with guiding activities but they're not militant about it, so if your crawler wants to explore that tunnel for the fifth time instead of doing circle time, nobody's going to stress about it. It's structured enough that you feel like you're actually helping with development, but chill enough that you won't feel like a failure when your kid has a meltdown halfway through. Because let's be real, we're all just winging it and hoping our kids turn out okay!

Parents rave about how their little ones can't stop singing the songs they learned in class—don't be surprised if you catch them belting out a tune at the dinner table!

Today we went to try their runners class. My son is 22 months old and it was his first time to attend gymboree class. The place is no doubt toddler friendly but the people are complete opposite. The lady leading the class wasn’t warm enough especially to new comers. She did not even bother to introduce herself. She just came in and just started whatever activities she had for the toddlers but never bothered to guide those who attended the first time. Parents bring their children there cause the goal is to help them through their development but the way I observed it, the lady was like expecting that toddlers SHOULD already know what to do regardless if you have been there before or a first timer. I believe she could’ve exerted more attention to those who just attended the first time as these children do not have any idea at all of the activities prepared for them. The class ended just her singing the goodbye song and just left the area not even trying to give recommendations to parents who want their child to keep up with the activities. I really would like to bring my son back there cause I believe how much it’d be helpful the classes are for his growth but I might just try with other location. Hopefully there are better and friendlier staff there as what your company claims to be.

Son loves this place! It took him a while to warm up, but he's getting there. We're on our 3rd class. there were a few tears in the beginning, but don't give up. He's now more of a social butterfly from these classes. More comfortable around kids and growing in his skills,

We came to try a free class when our baby was 2.5 months. We love the class and the teacher and baby had a fun time. We signed up for level 1 class right after. We have been coming to class for 1.5 months. Baby is always having fun in class, and we love watching her learning different skills from class. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The facility is nice and clean. Plenty of parking spaces. We just love coming to class!

Not customer service focused. I signed up for the preview class online where I am required to put my daughters birthdate - no note, message or anything about her age in relation to the class I signed up for. I drive 30 min to attend the class only to be rejected at the front desk. No empathy, no suggestion on other activities since I couldn't do that one, no help at all. I get following a policy, safety always come first. But the company missed multiple opportunities to make it right - they could've not allowed me to sign up on the website (how easy is a birthdate check on your website), they could've given her the option of playing with other toys or read books or coloring books in another room, they could've provided any other outlet for a mom that clearly needed to be out of the house with an entertained child. So disappointing in the lack of empathy and alternative options at this business.

IMO it's not worth it. Classes are 45 minutes long but that time flies by quick with just 3-4 short activities because there's too many other kids. It's not much more than a play date with other kids
