I really like the YMCA. The place is clean, the gym has everything I need, and the staff are super nice and helpful. I’ve enjoyed using the workout equipment, and the swimming pool is a big plus. It’s also great for families—there are activities for kids, classes for adults, and it just feels like a good community. I feel comfortable and welcome every time I go. I’m glad I joined and would definitely recommend it to others.

I have been a member of the YMCA for several years. However, over the last eight months, I have not utilized any of their facilities. Despite this, the YMCA has continued to charge me monthly membership fees. I accepted this as I was unsure if I would be able to make it there due to time constraints. Recently, the membership fees increased, prompting me to reconsider the value I am getting from this membership. The issues began when I decided to cancel my membership, having determined that I would no longer be utilizing their services. When I attempted to cancel my membership over the phone, I was informed that cancellations must be done in person at a local YMCA branch. This requirement seemed unnecessary, as the front desk staff at the location were able to cancel my membership almost instantaneously. Upon requesting confirmation of my membership cancellation, the staff member indicated that I should receive an email, although he was uncertain about this. He also mentioned that I would still be charged for the upcoming draft on the 15th, despite having just confirmed the cancellation. This contradictory information was frustrating and confusing. When I sought further clarification, I was provided with the contact information of the local Membership Director, who was unavailable at the time. After reaching out to her, she politely explained that the YMCA's policy requires a 30-day notice for cancellations. This policy effectively means that members must visit the location on the day their current month's fee is drafted to avoid additional charges. In summary, the YMCA's cancellation process appears to be intentionally cumbersome, making it difficult for members to terminate their memberships without incurring additional fees. The staff seemed unwilling to understand customers' situations or attempt to help them, preferring instead to repeat policies back to the customers. This experience has been disappointing and has left me questioning the organization's commitment to customer service. Updated 4/3/25 I wanted to update this review and mention that the director of this location Trey was able to give me a call and inform me he discussed this with the staff and apologized for the experience. He was able to fix my billing issue and better explain how the new billing cycle works at the Y. I will say it is still very cumbersome and would make alot more sense if it was structured more like a normal subscription service instead. At the end of the day, I appreciate Trey's call and honestly. He was able to correct the issue in a 3 minute phone call. I just wish the staff had escalated the issue to someone who could help instead of dismissing it.

Facility itself is fine and the employees are friendly, but the locker room is GROSS. It's obvious it doesnt get a very thorough cleaning or disinfecting often, which should be a gyms top priority in my opinion. The benches are sticky and I can often see visible sweat prints from other gym goers, even the outside of the lockers are sticky! The backs of the hairdryers are covered in rust and debris. I brought my own disinfectant wipes from home to wipe the bench down and it came up yellowish grey. I would probably shower there if I didnt think I'd catch ringworm. Also this morning they didnt have any towels at all to wipe the equipment down so people just had to leave their sweaty equipment.

Had a family membership here for 2 years. 1. Staff does nothing about the other members in the weights area. Some other members will try to kick you off machines to finish their set. Went and talked to a manager about canceling and she was zero help. More condescending than anything. 2. Staff are worthless 3. I get the need for lifeguards but most of them here have a god complex. (They will blow the whistle on you for every little thing and talk down to you like you're a child even though most of em are barely out of high school. 4. Lots of kids under 16 in the area just running around getting in the way. Place use to be good but I don't know if they have a new manager but the place has went in the toilet. 5. I updated this since someone from the Y called and left me a message about my review. I tried solving the whole situation in an adult manner by canceling my membership but the lady at the front just kept saying it's, our policy, it's our policy, like a parrot. 6. Still don't recommend this place with people shooting themselves in the parking lot, leaving broke down beat up vehicles in the parking lot for DAYS. 7. Go to a real gym most of the good ones kick out disruptive members and have some manners. The Y just hires the cheapest crowd they can get.

No notification of construction on website. Lockers are kids, and do not fit regular sized lock. Coming from work or getting a work out in before work was a challenge. Kids space they dedicated to locker room for adults have a smaller clasp so your lock might not work. Bad luck. Could of posted on your website too. Used to do a little better. Guy at front desk was kinda rude/unfriendly as well. The girls who work here do better. update your website, or provide free locks during construction...
